About me

Hi, I'm Daniel and I work as a researcher in the Medical University of Lublin in Poland.In my research, I focus on the identification of transcriptomic biomarkers of peripheral vascular diseases to explain their pathogenesis and propose diagnostic and therapeutic targets. I use such technologies as NGS sequencing, RT-qPCR, ELISA, and for data analysis and visualisation, I mainly use an excellent R environment.Working in innovative fields with amazing scientists allows me to make relevant discoveries, which is a great reward and a source of motivation and bravery to go further.

I am a creator of RQdeltaCT R package – a new tool for relative quantification of gene expression using delta Ct methods. This tool:

  • balances comprehensive functionality, flexibility of programming, and ease of use,

  • offers the possibility to perform analysis using the 2-dCt and 2-ddCt methods to compare either independent groups of samples or groups with paired samples, and using both normalised or unnormalised data,

  • provides many functions for convenient data import to R, multi-step quality control of data, and diverse visualisation methods.

  • allows the users to perform additional analysis (correlation analysis, Receiver Operating Characteristic analysis, linear and logistic regression) that make the whole analysis complete,

  • was developed with special attention paid to beginners to R,

  • includes the vignette that provide step-by-step detailed instructions on how to perform the entire analysis process.

  • is publicly accessible at the GitHub (https://github.com/Donadelnal/RQdeltaCT) and CRAN (https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=RQdeltaCT) repositories.
